Mongol
The original meaning of Mongol can be interpreted as eBravef and as eMonghgolf, which means
eEternal Riverf.
The name Mongol descends from spring of 1206, when Gengis Kahn (1162-1227)
united or subdued different tribes into one country and named it the Mongolian Empire.
Following the development of the Mongolian Empire under the command of Gengis Kahn, the people
received the name gMongolh and the name of the country changed into gMongoliah.
After thousands of years of war between the people of China and the nomads, they called them
Mongo(–ÖŒÃ, in Chinese) to belittle them.
Mong(–Ö) stands for uncivilized and Go (ŒÃ)stands for
old. In 1924 the country became a Mongolian Peoplefs Republic.
