Mongolia and France

Prime Minister of Mongolia, S.Bayar met with Presidents of the French Senate and National Assemble.

They exchanged views on issues of development and cooperation of between the two countries’ parliaments.
Mongolia is interested in studying French experiments that refine upon legal environment and carry out an extraction environmentally-friendly in a mining sector, expressed S.Bayar during the meeting with the President of Senate Gerard Larcher.

The French Senate thanked, Mongolia considered an amendment of a decree for the drawing rights at the EBRD and sat an example to European other countries.

The National Assembly consists of 577 members known as deputies, each elected by a single-member constituency. Deputies are elected in each constituency through a two-round system. 289 seats are required for a majority.

78 members of 577 come under a jurisdiction of the Parliament group of Mongolia-France. The President of the French National Assembly Bernard Accoyer underlined, they worked actively in actions including, opening a permanent embassy of France in Mongolia and establishing a center of French language and culture. He added, “We think, Mongolia is the third neighbor of France”.
