Representatives of Mongolia Defense Ministry visit North Korea led by Major-General M.Borbaatar, State Secretary of the Mongolia Ministry of Defense, paid an official visit the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea on November 17-21, 2008 at the invitation of the Ministry of People’s Armed Forces of the DPRK.
Representatives called on Kim Ir Chol, the Minister of the Korean People’s Army and Chairman of the National Defense Commission. And they talked about the military relations of the two countries. Also, General Pak Je Gyon, Vice Minister of the KPA, received them and then, he shared views on the cooperation.
During the visit, the two sides signed “Agreement for the cooperation between the Mongolian Ministry of Defense and the Korean Ministry of People’s Armed Forces” and a legal base was put on renewing the bilateral traditional and friendly relations that broke off for over 10 years.
