In 2009, totally 18.5 mln. Breeding stock will give birth at national level. In first 4 months of 2009, 11.2 mln. breeding stock or 60.6 percent of total breeding stock gave birth.

The first 4 months of 2009, 885.4 thousand adult animals lost. It increased by 207.0 thous.heads compared with the same period of the previous year.

According to the report of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, in the 1st May of 2009, the readiness of techniques for cultivation of soil and sowing was 57.1-91.6 percent at national level.

The first 4 months of 2009, the total industrial output reached 472.4 bln.togrogs demonstrating decrease of 7.6 percent or by 38.6 bln.togrogs (at 2005 constant prices), compared with the same period of pervious year. The fall in the industrial output due to an decrease of 8.1 bln.togrogs or 2.9 percent in mining and quarrying sector output and 33.1 bln.togrogs or 21.5 percent in manufacturing sector output.

Compared with the same period of the previous year, 2.9 percent decrease in output of the mining and quarrying sector was mainly due to the 0.2-25.0 percent reduction in output of main mining products such as crude oil, copper concentrate, gold, fluor spar concentrate, and zincum concentrate.


At the same time, 21.5 percent decrease in output of manufacturing sector was mainly due to the 14.2-86.5 percent reduction in output of products such as combed and carpet, wheat flour, highest grade, beer, wine, soft drinks, cigarettes, railway sleeper, cement, lime, articles of iron concrete, metal sleeper, molybdenum concentrate, copper, metal steel, and copper foundries.

The first 4 months of 2009, there were construction and installation work was carried out 25.3 bln.togrogs, of which domestic entities to value by 23.0 bln.togrogs or 90.9 percent, foreign entities to value by 2.3 bln.togrogs, or 9.1 percent In the first 4 months of 2009, 4229.0 mln.ton freight and 992.7 mln.passenger (with double count) were carried by railway of transport. Compared with the same period of the previous year, carried freight fell by 15.4 percent or 770.8 thous.ton, and carried passengers decreased by 29.7 percent or 420.2 thous.persons.

In the first 4 months of 2009, 315.3 mln.ton freight and 67.9 mln.passenger (with double count) were carried by railway of transport. Compared with the same period of the previous year, carried freight fell by 47.2 percent or 281.5 thous.ton, and carried passengers decreased by 31.8 percent or 31.6 thous.persons respectively.
