Mongolian traditional music

SOUNDS OF GLOBAL WORSHIP: MONGOLIAN TRADITIONAL MUSIC. This song is presented in an informal concert following a week-long songwriting seminar. The song was composed using a Mongolian traditional music form that incorporates a dialogue between two people. As you can see in the lyrics, its purpose is to encourage Bible reading.

"WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU"
by V. Dugermaa, October 2004

What happened to you?
Didn't you say that you will read
The red covered Bible?
Where have you been?
Didn't you say to come to yesterday's bible study?

There was no time to read, I'm sorry.
I couldn't get up in the morning.

What happened to you?
Didn't you say that you will read
The black covered Bible?
Where have you been?
Didn't you say that
You will show up
At today's Bible study?

There was no time to read, I'm sorry.
It was dark outside and I couldn't come, sorry.

What happened to you?
Didn't you say that you will read
The blue covered Bible?
Didn't you say that you will
Suck the powerful word of it?

I will read Bible without ceasing
And follow it all the way.

Let's follow the Wonderful word.
Surely the Lord Jesus Christ
Will bring us two Christians together.
