Nature travels in Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ "Paris-New-York transcontinental 2009" world tour team has arrived in Ulaanbaatar on special motor vehicles which emit 80 percent less carbonic acid than usual cars. They have overcome 2,200 km distance from Ulaanbaishint border checkpoint in Bayan-Olgii aimag through which they entered Mongolia's territory.

The tour started in Paris on September 20 this year. The team consists of nine travellers from Germany, Russia and the United States, as well as seven cameramen and a photographer who intend to make a documentary about the round-the-world travel on cars. This is the first ever action of this kind in the history of mankind.

The nature-friendly tour will pass through over 50 cities of 21 countries. The team has chosen wintertime and snowy and ice roads in order to avoid damaging the soil and are using bio fuel to avoid polluting by carbonic acid. The bio fuel is developed from scrap wood. No other devices will be used during the tour. Cars and freight will not carried by airplane or train. The team prefers slow speed.
