Nomads in Gobi - The Last of Nomads
I love the nomads in GOBI because of their hospitality. Their hospitality is very special because Gobi is one of the most sparsely populated areas not only in Mongolia but in many parts on earth. Tell me if you know those places.
Approximately 10 percent of the population which is less than 300,000 live in the land the size of France. The next door neighbor can live somewhere within 20-30 km range.
When we got lost which happens to even experienced drivers, we had to stay over at nomads in Middle Gobi province. They accepted us as if we known each other for a long time and they were literally happy that we stopped by.
There is a Mongolian saying; if you let the guests get cold during the night you might loose your sheep.
You can enjoy the close up professional movie about the Gobi, unfortunately, it is in Mongolian language. Watch the movie and learn the language.
