Numbers in Mongolian

Learn numbers in Mongolian before your trip starts. You have to master the numbers because they will pop up in every step of your trip. You will have to use them anyways, especially, in monetary sense. It will start with your age, number of children, how many do you need, etc. Learn how to count from one to a hundred. It is easy once you get from one to nine, and learn to say the tenth in Mongolian. Learn the patterns in numbers. Let''s get started!

1 - Нэг = neg; 2 - Хоёр = hoyorr; 3 - Гурав = gurrav; 4 - Дөрөв = durruv; 5 - Тав = tav; 6 - Зургаа = zurgaa; 7 - Долоо = doloo; 8 - Найм = naim; 9 - Ес = yos; 10 - Арав = arrav

10 - Арав = arrav; 20 - Хорь = horri; 30 - гуч = guch; 40 - Дөч = duch; 50 - Тавь = tavi; 60 - Жар = jarr; 70 - Дал = dal; 80 - Ная = naya; 90 - Ер= err; 100 - Зуу = zuu

From 11 to 19 say: Арван = arrvan + one to nine;

For ex: 11 would be "arrvan neg"; 12 is "arrvan hoyorr"; 13 is "arrvan gurrav", 14 - "arrvan durruv", 15 - "arrvan tav", 16 - "arrvan zurgaa", 17 - "arrvan doloo", 18 - "arrvan naim", and 19 - "arrvan yos".

21 to 29 Хорин = horrin + one to nine; e.g. 22 would be "horrin hoyorr"

31 to 39 Гучин = guchin + one to nine; e.g. 33 is "guchin gurrav"

41 to 49 Дөчин = duchin + one to nine; e.g. 44 is "duchin durruv"

51 to 59 Тавин = tavin + one to nine; e.g. 55 is "tavin tav"

61 to 69 Жаран = jaran + one to nine; e.g. 66 is "jarran zurgaa"

71 to 79 Далан = dalan + one to nine; e.g. 77 is "dalan doloo"

81 to 89 Наян = nayan + one to nine; e.g. 88 is "nayan naim"

91 to 99 Ерэн = erren + one to nine; e.g. 99 is "erren yos"

Hundreds are very easy: say one to nine with an "n" ending

1000 is мянга = "miang"
