Hi
Its very interesting what you are trying to do in Mongolia. I am an Occupational Therapist and can understand the difficulties people have about perceived role of Therapist. It may take some time and that may be linked with the on-going progress in other areas such as economy, civil society. However fact remains that there are people with disability and they are here and now. I have often thought about volunteering as OT. Would be glad to lend you a hand if happen to travel to Mongolia, for however long, whenever it might be.
Take care and keep up good work.

Occupational Therapy in Mongolia NEW by: Roxanne Vergara
Hello!
I am an occupational therapist hoping and willing to help out in Mongolia for I have friends there (help in the area of Occupational Therapy). Since there are no current jobs for OTs like me there in Mongolia, I am applying for a TESOL (teaching english to speakers of other languages) position for I also have a TESOL certificate.
As for my Occupational Therapy background, I have worked with special children in the Philippines and I had a brief hospital background. Presently, I am working in Singapore catering geriatric patients in a nursing home.
I hope somebody can help me patch things up.
In summary:
I need a job to sustain myself in Mongolia -- may it be an English teacher or an occupational therapist.
Thank you so much!
