President congratulates Barack Obama Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ President of Mongolia N.Enkhbayar sent a congratulatory letter to Barack Obama, the President-Elect of the United States of America (USA) on November 6. The letter says: TO HIS EXCELLENCY MR. BARACK OBAMA PRESIDENT-ELECT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA Washington, D.C. Your Excellency, On behalf of the Mongolian people and in my own name, I wish to extend to You my sincere and warmest congratulations on Your election as the President of the United States of America, the election in which You have won the trust and confidence of your people. The Mongolian people greatly value the relations and cooperation with the American people and like other nations, follow, with great interest, the processes taking place in the USA. We rejoice, as friends, at the achievements of the American people and highly appreciate their consistent support for Mongolia's democratic reforms. It gives me a great pleasure to note the intensifying development, in the last several years in particular, of the relations and cooperation between Mongolia and our third neighbor, the United States on the basis of democratic values and shared interests in promoting peace and prosperity and according to the principles of comprehensive partnership. One of the clear indications of this was the conclusion made last year by the President of Mongolia during his official visit to the USA of agreements important for the further expansion of bilateral relations and cooperation, such as the MCA Compact and Declaration of Principles for Closer Cooperation between Mongolia and the United States of America. I am fully confident that the relations and cooperation between Mongolia and the United States will further expand and deepen to the benefits of the peoples of our two countries. It would be my great pleasure to work with you, Mr. President Elect towards that objective. Please accept, Your Excellency, Mr. President - Elect, my best wishes for the good health and well-being of You and Your family members as well as the progress and prosperity of the American people.
